Deploying Translations
After translating and reviewing, deploy translations directly to your Salesforce org.
How deployment works
Section titled “How deployment works”TranSFlate uses the Salesforce Metadata API to deploy translations. It packages the translated entries into the appropriate metadata format and sends them to your org.
Before deploying
Section titled “Before deploying”- Verify translations look correct in the editable grid
- Managed package elements are automatically skipped
- System fields are excluded from deployment
Deploy process
Section titled “Deploy process”- Click Deploy for the target language
- TranSFlate packages the translations
- Translations are sent to Salesforce via Metadata API
- You’ll see a confirmation when deployment completes
What gets deployed
Section titled “What gets deployed”- Custom field label translations
- Picklist value translations
- Custom label translations
- Standard value set translations
- Validation rule error message translations
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Deploy fails | Check that your user has “Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Functions” permission |
| Missing translations | Ensure the target language is enabled in Salesforce Setup → Translation Workbench |
| Partial deploy | Some standard value set names may be unrecognized — these are automatically skipped |
